Network Observing

This section contains information about making an application to use telescope time on the LCOGTLas Cumbres Observatory Global Telescope Network network.  

Observing time on the LCOGT network can be applied for in 2 Semesters:

Semester A will run from 1 April - 30 September.

Semester B will run from 1 October - 31 March.

At present applications are subject to the following conditions:

  • We will only accept proposals from astronomers in the following institutions:
    • LCOGT itself,
    • UCSB,
    • UH,
    • ANU,
    • ARI,
    • Faulkes Telescope Project
    • and those who have already been successful at obtaining LCOGT observing time in the past
  • We will only accept proposals which will use Faulkes Telescope North and/or Faulkes Telescope South
All applications for semester A 2010 must be submitted by:

Monday, 1 March 2010 at 00:00 UT

The Call for Proposals  describes the conditions under which observing time is offered on the LCOGT Network. The information is also available below.

All applications must be completed using the Latex template provided , and submitted using the online submission form .
