Faulkes Telescope North

Out of all the 2m class of telescopes built in Birkenhead (UK) by TTL (before it became part of LCOGTLas Cumbres Observatory Global Telescope Network), FT North was installed first. It was the first to be commissioned but the Liverpool telescope (which has an almost identicle design) was built first. Initially Faulkes Telescope North was owned by the Faulkes Telescope Project but became part of the LCOGT global network in 2006.

At present Hawaiian and UK schools, along with LCOGT astronomers have exclusive access to this research class telescope.
