Network Operations

Even a robotic telescope needs help sometimes. This group checks on each telescope in the network to make sure the network as a whole is operating at peak efficiency. They monitor the quality of the images, diagnose and fix problems with the network and co-ordinate site visits.

IT Operations

There is a large amount of computing power behind the scenes of the network. All of the systems are automated which means a computer (or many computers) make decisions about the weather conditions, opening an observatory, which observation to make next and thousands of other basic tasks. Without an efficient IT infrastructure, a global telescope network would be impossible to manage.

Administrative Operations

This team handles all the ordering, shipping and accounting for every aspect of the network and the general running of the company.
