Software U-boot bootloader is flashed on the Blackfin using Section5's ICEbear JTAG Adapter and bfloader software. On the first boot, U-boot downloads a uClinux image via TFTP and writes the image into the 4M flash on the CM-BF537. U-boot then reprograms itself to boot the image stored in flash, and resets itself. To build the uClinux image, the Blackfin GNU Toolchain must be installed on the development system.
